The Fallow Deer Family has Grown at Woodlands

Adorable Fallow Deer Fawns have been born at Woodlands Family Theme Park located near Dartmouth.

The precious Fallow Fawns are now exploring the paddock alongside their mothers although they are still very shy and enjoy hiding in tall grass.

The Zoo-Farm Keeper at Woodlands Zoo-Farm said ‘’We started with just three females and it’s very exciting to add to the family with these little cuties. We are expecting the family to grow more as we are expecting more little fawns soon.’’

The Fallow Deer is native to Western Eurasia but has also been introduced in North America and Australia plus fun fact, the Fallow is the only British deer with palmate antlers.
The Fallow deer love getting treats every so often like carrots and apples apart from their main diet of ground vegetation.
