General Park Accessibility

Woodlands Family Theme Park has endeavoured to create a wheelchair and pushchair friendly environment. All main paths are surfaced with tarmac and seating is available in all play zones. Due to the park’s location in a natural valley, gradients should be expected. Whilst all areas of the park have been designed with accessibility in mind, some of the natural hills are steep and may be difficult to navigate independently in a manual wheelchair. Apologies but we do not have any wheelchairs available for hire on site.

If you have any questions before your visit, please contact our reception team on 01803 712598. On the day our rangers will be on hand to assist in creating the most accommodating environment possible.

Disabled parking is available on the front rows of both our lower and upper car parks. The car parks are surfaced with gravel and these spaces ensure the least distance from the car park to the smooth tarmac pathways at the entrance gate.

We do not currently offer any kind of ride fast track pass. Our Rangers aim to work through ride queues as quickly as possible. However, if a member of your group is struggling to queue for any particular ride, please speak to the ride operator or a nearby ranger and they will be able to assist. This could involve a member of your group holding their place in the queue whilst the guest waits on nearby benches or play equipment.

Toilet Facilities

Guest with disabilities toilet facilities are situated at various locations around the theme park and at all facilities buildings on the campsite. Below the Treasure Trove Gift Shop, inside Empire of the Sea Dragon, and at Loves Grove Cafe there are spacious disabled toilet rooms with appropriate fittings. Baby changing facilities are also accessible at each of these areas.

Guest with Disability Tickets

A reduced rate is offered for guests with disabilities on general park admission tickets in all seasons throughout the year. These tickets are labelled as ‘Guest with Disability’ tickets on our website. Please visit the ticketing page for more information.

Please bring a form of evidence with you when you arrive for your visit as you may be asked to present this at the entrance kiosk.

Carers – We do not offer free entry for carers instead we offer discounted prices for the guest with disabilities.

Assistance Dogs

Fully trained assistance dogs are welcome at Woodlands Family Theme Park.

For health and safety reasons we are unable to allow pet dogs in the theme park. Kennels are provided for visitors on a first come first served basis and are non-bookable. Woodlands is not responsible for the welfare of your dog, watering or feeding whilst using the kennels. Please ensure the kennel is left clean and tidy. Thank you.
