We’re located in beautiful south Devon, just seven miles from the nearest beach and five miles from the picturesque, waterside town of Dartmouth. We are members of the Best of British Quality Touring and Holiday Parks, BH&HPA and BALPPA.

Woodlands Family Theme Park has a variety of rides, attractions, indoor play centres, falconry centre, zoo-farm, catering areas (discounted staff meals!), retail outlets, and ice-cream kiosks. All of which are operated and maintained by our thriving team.

Ranger – Rides & Play Areas

We are looking for friendly, responsible Rangers to help supervise our rides and play areas, ensuring every visitor enjoys a fun and safe experience.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role at our busy Family Theme Park, ideal for someone who is observant, confident, and enjoys working outdoors as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise rides and play areas to ensure safe operation at all times

  • Explain rules, height restrictions, and safety guidelines clearly to visitors

  • Monitor behaviour and act quickly to prevent unsafe situations

  • Carry out daily cleaning and basic safety checks

  • Report equipment faults or hazards to the Team Leader

  • Assist visitors with enquiries and directions

  • Support opening and closing procedures

(Full health and safety training will be provided.)

Catering Assistant

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to join our busy Leisure Park team. Working across our cafés, fast food outlets, and seasonal kiosks, you will help deliver a friendly, efficient service while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve hot and cold food and drinks

  • Take customer orders and process payments using tills

  • Assist with basic cooking and food preparation (full training provided)

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented work area

  • Follow all food hygiene, safety, and storage procedures

  • Support daily opening and closing tasks

  • Help customers with enquiries in a polite and professional manner

About You

  • Friendly, positive, and customer-focused

  • Confident communicating with people of all ages

  • Able to stay calm and polite during busy periods

Animal Keeper – Zoo-Farm

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Animal Keeper to join our Zoo-Farm team. This hands-on role involves providing excellent daily care to a wide variety of farm and zoo animals, maintaining high welfare standards, and helping create engaging experiences for our visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily animal health checks and administer treatments as required

  • Prepare and provide correct diets and fresh water

  • Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented enclosures and visitor areas

  • Keep accurate records (health, feeding, breeding, and medication)

  • Assist with breeding programmes and seasonal planning

  • Deliver talks, demonstrations, and animal interaction sessions

  • Ensure high standards of health and safety at all times

About You

  • Qualified in Animal Care/Animal Management (or similar)

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about animal welfare

  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather

  • Confident communicating with visitors of all ages

  • Flexible and willing to work weekends and Bank Holidays

  • Full driving licence required

This is typically a 4–5 day per week position (including weekend day(s)), with flexibility required due to the seasonal nature of the tourism industry.

Reception & Office Assistant – Permanent or Seasonal

Located at our busy Caravan Park and Family Theme Park, we are recruiting full-time Reception & Office Assistants to join our team on either a permanent or seasonal basis. This is a varied, customer-facing role based at the main hub of the park.

Reception is the centre for enquiries, bookings, arrivals, deliveries, and day-to-day communication, making this an interesting and fast-paced position with plenty of variety.

The Role

You will be responsible for a wide range of reception and office duties, including:

  • Answering telephone and email enquiries
  • Processing and amending bookings for the Caravan Park and Family Theme Park
  • Greeting visitors and checking in arrivals
  • Managing caravan storage accounts
  • Using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Supporting Managers with administrative duties
  • Filing, laminating, photocopying, and general office tasks

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be highly computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office
  • Be able to absorb and apply a large amount of information
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Possess a friendly, confident personality with strong customer service skills
  • Be comfortable with a high level of customer and staff interaction
  • Be willing to work weekends and during school holidays

Full training will be provided on our computerised booking systems.

Seasonal Warden / Ranger Couples – 2026 Season

Set in the beautiful South Devon countryside, just seven miles from the beach and five miles from the waterside town of Dartmouth, Woodlands Park is an AA 5 Gold Pennant award-winning park. Predominantly a Touring Park, we also offer a small number of Glamping Pods and Static Caravans (from May 2026), with award-winning facilities. We are members of the Best of British Quality Touring and Holiday Parks.

We are looking for seasonal, full-time Warden / Ranger couples to join our 2026 team. This key role ensures guests have the best possible experience, both on the campsite and in the Leisure Park.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain three sets of amenities, clean Leisure Park toilets, assist with glamping and static caravan changeovers, and carry out light site maintenance. Full training, including COSHH, provided.

  • Guest Services: Welcome guests, show them to their pitch or accommodation, and provide assistance as needed.

  • Leisure Park Duties: Supervise play equipment or rides, and assist in the shop, kiosks, or catering areas.

  • Grounds Upkeep: Light maintenance, strimming, and rubbish collection.

Duties rotate to provide variety. The role is generally five days a week with two consecutive days off, increasing to six during peak summer periods. Rota is provided in advance.
