Dino Week at Woodlands!

This May half term, the dinos are taking over! Join us from Saturday 24th May to Sunday 1st June for a roaring week of Jurassic fun. We’re bringing prehistoric times into 2025 with real life dinosaur displays, baby dino meet & greets, fossil finding, ranger training and so much more! In addition, we’re giving away free return tickets all week to any children dressed as dinosaurs or rangers during their visit to Woodlands!*
Here’s what you can expect…
All of the following activities are included with park entry tickets!
Baby Dinosaurs Meet & Greets
Our Dino Rangers are on the loose, roaming the park with adorable baby dinosaurs ready to meet brave explorers. These cheeky hatchlings offer a gentle up-close experience with photo opportunities available.
Location: Look out for the Dino Rangers trekking through the park.
Times: At intervals Monday 26th to Friday 30th.
Fossil Finders Trail
An ancient dinosaur fossil has gone missing somewhere near the Woodlands DinoTrek! Hunt for clues, crack the secret word, and bring it to the gift shop for your chance to win a roarsome dinosaur prize—plus tickets for two! Are you ready to dig up an adventure?
Location: Hiding near the DinoTrek!
Times: 10am to 4:30pm daily.
Dino Dig Site
Be a palaeontologist for a day! Carefully brush away thousands of years’ worth of dirt to reveal dinosaur bones and teeth in the Dino Dig Site. Who knows what discoveries you’ll make!
Location: Dino Dig Site at the DinoTrek
Times: 10am to 4:30pm daily.
Carnivore Crafts
Unleash your creativity! Turn yourself into a dinosaur at the Mask-a-saurus station, with loads of designs and decorations to choose from. Then, head over to the Roar-some Art Station for some colouring and decorating.
Location: The Dino Outpost (Love’s Grove Top Floor)
Times: Monday 26th to Friday 30th – 12pm to 4:30pm
Parasaurolophus Displays
Look out… there is a NEW dino stomping into Woodlands on Wednesday the 28th of May! Get ready to meet the Parasaurolophus. Pose for a photo and watch as they perform tricks with the help of their Ranger assistant!
Location: Entrance to DinoTrek
Times: At intervals throughout the day exclusively on May 28th.
Raptor Displays
Don’t blink… don’t breathe… and definitely don’t run! Ritchie raptor is coming to Woodlands on Thursday the 29th of May! He’s mischievous, naughty, highly intelligent, extremely vocal and will be performing displays at intervals throughout the day.
Location: Entrance to DinoTrek
Times: At intervals throughout the day exclusively on May 29th.
Ranger Training
Sharpen your dinosaur ranger skills! Young explorers will love taking part in these interactive ranger training sessions. Learn all the skills you need to be the best dino tamer in your house!
Location: Entrance to DinoTrek
Times: Between Parasaurolophus and Raptor displays on May 28th and 29th.
The Dino Outpost
Meeting so many dinosaurs can be hungry work, so stop off at The Dino Outpost for limited edition tasty treats and refreshments! From the T-Rex Burger to Cheesy Lava Fries and Tropical Stego-Slushies, you’ll leave the Outpost fully refuelled and ready for your next adventure!
Location: The Dino Outpost (Love’s Grove Cafe)
Times: 10am to 5pm
Free Return Visits
Dress up as a dinosaur or explorer whilst visiting Woodlands during Dino Week for a free child’s return ticket!
*Children only. Promotion runs from 24.05.25 to 01.06.25. Return ticket valid from 2nd – 30th June 2025 (excludes Father’s Day 15th June). 1 free ticket per child.
