Woodlands Leisure Park comprises the award-winning Woodlands Family Theme Park and the AA 5 gold pennant standard Woodlands Caravan & Camping touring park. We’re located in beautiful south Devon, just seven miles from the nearest beach and five miles from the picturesque, waterside town of Dartmouth. We are members of the Best of British Quality Touring and Holiday Parks, BH&HPA and BALPPA.

Woodlands Family Theme Park has a variety of rides, attractions, indoor play centres, falconry centre, zoo-farm, catering areas (discounted staff meals!), retail outlets, and ice-cream kiosks. All of which are operated and maintained by our thriving team.

Recruitment Day 2024

On Tuesday the 5th of March 2024 we will be hosting a Recruitment Open Day.

Join us at Woodlands Family Theme Park from 12pm to learn more about all the roles currently available now and throughout our main summer season.

Keeping Woodlands a fun and exciting place for guests to visit year-round is a busy (but rewarding!) task, requiring a great team. From Catering Assistants to Ride Operators, everyone plays a role in delivering great guest experiences. We are looking for a full-time person, to work in our busy office and reception. The ideal applicant will be highly computer literate, with previous experience of Microsoft Office. Training will be given on our computerised booking systems, after which they will need to have the ability to retain and apply a large amount of information. It is important to have a cheerful, confident personality, good customer care skills and excellent attention to detail. Being able to work weekend days and during school holidays is also important.

This is an interesting, varied role which involves a good deal of telephone work and customer/staff interaction, as reception is the main centre for enquiries, bookings, deliveries and arrivals for the caravan park.  There are various duties including: answering enquires; taking, processing and amending bookings for the Family Theme Park and the Caravan Park; greeting visitors; checking-in arrivals; dealing with deliveries; creating posters and flyers using Photoshop; using Access databases; handling incoming and outgoing post; organising and compiling packs; dealing with e-mails using Outlook; researching and ordering items online; keeping customers’ storage accounts up to date; tasks associated with events and promoting the park; writing letters; laminating; photocopying; taking accurate messages and passing on important information.

Must be willing to have a DBS check.

We are seeking to recruit a seasonal, full time Warden couple to work from March to early November. If a shorter season is preferred there are other options, such as working from March to September, May to September or July to September.

We are looking for people who are practical, active and friendly. Duties include: cleaning; showing customers to their pitch; towing (if experienced); light maintenance tasks; helping customers; strimming; rubbish collection; etc. The work would also involve duties in the Leisure Park; these duties could range from supervising play equipment to working on tills in the shop/kiosks/catering areas or distributing leaflets to promote the Park. This is a varied and interesting role which would suit an enthusiastic, reliable couple.  A detailed Job Description is included in the application pack.

In addition to the wage, a free electric pitch is included for your touring caravan/motorhome.

We are seeking to recruit staff for full/part-time roles for the season (up to 40 hours), there is also the possibility of weekend and school holiday work during the winter. The role involves greeting and serving customers, taking payments, operating tills, carrying out the opening and closing procedures; as well as maintaining a clean, attractive environment, monitoring stock levels and displaying stock effectively. The ideal candidate would have some camping retail or customer care experience and be a good communicator.

As a member of the park staff you could be involved in more than one department due to the diverse nature of the Park, however personal preferences can be taken into account. The other roles could involve working in the entrance kiosk, catering and rides/play areas.

The position would suit a variety of people from students to the semi-retired. It is important to enjoy working with the general public, alone and in a team.

Applicants must be 18 years or over.
You must be willing to have a DBS check.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Painter & Decorator to work in the family theme park and caravan park.  The post holder will primarily be painting but will also get involved with other tasks, such as those related to maintenance.  In the run up to events, such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas, the Painter will help with the preparation.  There are some telephone and internet tasks, placing orders with suppliers and researching products.  The Painter & Decorator will also assist with other duties which may arise from time to time.

The Painter & Decorator works both alone and also with other members of staff; they will have the use of a variety of equipment and products. Guidance and background information on the work tasks will be provided.  Although experience is essential, an interest and desire to learn are just as important.

The position would suit a variety of people from students to the semi-retired. It is important to enjoy working with the general public and in a team.
