1. Leisure Park Staff
We are currently seeking to recruit part-time and full time Leisure Park staff for the 2012 season. The Leisure Park opens on the 30th March and closes on the 4th November. We are looking for some people who are able to work the whole season but also some who are just able to cover the busy school holidays and some who can do something in between!
a) Leisure Park Rangers
The roles available are Ranger (Catering), Ranger (Rides & Play Areas), Entrance Assistant & Retail Assistant. As a member of the Leisure Park Staff you could be involved in more than one role due to the diverse nature of the Park. Would suit from students to the semi-retired to join our team. Must enjoy working with people. Detailed job descriptions are enclosed in the application pack.
b) Catering Team Leaders or Park Team Leaders
Responsible & enthusiastic individuals required to supervise various attractions & rides or catering points. Must be organised, demonstrate excellent customer care skills, able to work efficiently in a busy environment and lead others.
The roles available are Catering Team Leaders or Park Team Leaders (Rides & Play Areas), detailed job descriptions are enclosed in the application pack. There is much contact with the public so it is essential to enjoy working with people and be happy supervising other staff.
2. Marketing Administrator & PA to Marketing Director
We are looking for an enthusiastic, ideas person with professional marketing experience. The role is to assist Pat Bendall, the Marketing Director, carry out the marketing function at WoodlandsFamily Theme Park and Woodlands Grove Caravan & Camping Park and assist with other office procedures. Creative graphic design and excellent IT skills are essential as is the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Experience in tourism is preferable.
The work tasks would include the following: designing & creating posters & adverts; writing letters, emails, editorials & press releases; organising meetings, competitions & promotions; liaising with brochure distribution companies; booking advertising space in a variety of media; creating questionnaires, analysing data & compiling statistics; editing the websites (following training); visiting marketing partners to deliver tickets, brochures & posters; planning ideas to promote the Park; attending marketing meetings and shows in the local area; keeping records; general customer enquiries and bookings. If you can multi task, organise your work load and have a flair for ideas and design we would like to hear from you.
3. Administration Assistant
A full time person is required to work in our busy office and reception. The ideal applicant will be highly computer literate with previous experience in office procedures and Microsoft Office, training will be given on our caravan park computerised booking system. It is important to have a cheerful, enthusiastic personality, good customer care skills and excellent attention to detail. This is a varied role with much direct contact with customers as reception is the main centre for enquiries and arrivals for the caravan park.
The role involves a lot of telephone work; answering enquires such as opening times, prices & location; taking bookings for the Leisure Park and Caravan Park; greeting visitors; writing letters using Word; creating posters using Photoshop, Powerpoint or Publisher; using Access databases; handling incoming and outgoing post; organising & compiling packs for mail drops; dealing with e-mails using Outlook; searching the Internet; filing; photocopying; taking accurate messages and passing on important information. For the candidates with the right aptitude there is also scope to expand the job further into assisting the Directors and Managers with various projects associated with events and marketing.
4. Caravan park Warden/Leisure Park Ranger Couples
WoodlandsGrove Caravan & Camping Parkis a large family run 5 star camping & touring caravan park with award winning facilities. It is set in the beautiful South Hams, just three miles from the nearest sandy beach and five miles from the picturesque, waterside town of Dartmouth.
Have you ever thought about being a Caravan Park Warden but were unsure about committing to a whole season? Or are you students looking for work over the summer holidays? Here is your chance to experience working on a Caravan Park & Leisure Park. We are currently seeking to recruit a Warden/Ranger couple from mid July to early September 2012. We are looking for people who are practical, active and relate well to others. Duties include: cleaning the toilets, showers, laundry and games room to a high standard; showing customers to their pitch; towing of caravans; maintenance tasks; rubbish collection; evening checks; helping customers with their queries. The work would also involve duties in the Leisure Park; these could range from supervising play equipment & rides, catering, operating tills, distributing leaflets to promote the Park, working in the entrance kiosk or shop. You would need a partner to work with and would need to live on site. There is a free electric pitch for your caravan or motorhome.
