Screen Watch Action

Unique opportunity to see spring secrets live.

Probably for the first time ever Birds of Prey can be watched live on CCTV as they prepare for the spring nesting season. Already preening themselves for their TV debut at the Woodlands Falconry Centre the four Birds of Prey have cameras focused on their daily most intimate spring preparations through nest building, sitting on eggs to chick hatching.

Studying and handling Birds of Prey for a lifetime Woodlands Falconer Geoff Pearson and his colleague Lyn have worked through the winter to set up the live Observation Programme for wild life enthusiasts, families and schools.

“We are very excited about the Screen Watch Project” Geoff said “ even the smallest child can be Bill Oddie watching these shy birds at very close quarters building their nests, laying eggs and perhaps even catching that special moment when the chicks hatch.”

“Visitors can see how climate change is altering the mating habits of the birds as they are already getting into the spring mode at least two weeks earlier than normal.”
