Great Grey Owl

Borris is a magnificent bird to look at. He came to Woodlands Falconry Centre from the Isle of Wight in January 2006. This striking bird is the tallest owl in Alaska and the feathers on the chest and sides are 4-5 inch long. They help Borris keep very warm in the winter. The Woodlands Falconers are training Borris so he can take part in displays.
