Our Christmas evening event was so popular last year we’re having 6 this year! Running exclusively on the 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th & 21st of December. 4:00pm – 8:00pm (the theme park will be closed during these events).
Meet your elf guides and adventure through the magical forest meeting all of Santa’s festive friends before arriving at his toy workshop. Sneak a peek of where magical Christmas toys and gifts are made!
Cherish the family memories you make from our Santa experience with a special souvenir photograph* to take home and an early Christmas present for the little ones. Look out for lots of magical surprises hidden inside!

Maximum 2 Adults per booking. If other adults visit on the day with your booking they will be unable to join you in the Grotto.
This is an evening experience. The parks rides and attractions will not be open during this time.
This is a PRE-BOOK ONLY CHRISTMAS EVENT in Devon. Tickets must be purchased online at least 24 Hours before your visit. We are unable to offer Grotto tickets to day visitors without a pre-booking for the Grotto.
Evening Admission:
- Adults – £5.00
- Under 12 months – £7.95
- 12 – 23 months – £14.00
- 2 – 11 Years – £16.00
- Child 12+ – £5.00 (No Gift Included)
**All tickets are subject to a 50p booking fee**
Annual Pass Holders must purchase Evening Admission Tickets to enter the Grotto on Christmas Nights.
This experience is suited to younger children. Children 12 and over are welcome through the grotto but will not receive a gift from Santa. This is reflected in the ticket price.

Christmas Grotto slots can be booked for between 4:00pm – 8:00pm. As Christmas is a very busy and exciting time for Santa and all his helpers, please be at the entrance to the grotto by the time slot which you have booked. If you arrive early Rays Diner café in the Empire will be open & serving food and drinks. There will be plenty of festive lights to see too!
IF YOU ARE ATTENDING ON ANY OF THESE DATES BUT PARTICULARLY 19TH OR 21ST DECEMBER, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS INTO THE PARK UNTIL 15:30 OR LATER!
Please note: 1 Festive non-alcoholic mulled wine drink provided for each adult, maximum 2 festive drinks per booking, (these can not be exchanged for any other item).
*Souvenir photographs are sold separately and not included in the ticket price.
*Santa’s Postbox is located outside the Christmas Grotto.

Date Change
To change the date / time on your ticket: This needs to be done at least 3 days before you are due to visit santa and a £5 charge applies. You will need to call Woodlands Reception Team on 01803 712598 who will be able to change your ticket for a fee of £5 per booking number. This is subject to availability.

The theme park will be closed during this event.
Annual Pass Holders
Pre book a Christmas Grotto Evening Admission Ticket in order to enter Santa’s Grotto. Any siblings who do not have a Season Ticket due to not being 92cms, please book a relevant ticket dependant on the child’s age. All Christmas Grotto Tickets purchased will have photographs cross checked against our data base. Only standard ticket options can be purchased for the evening grotto due to the theme park being closed.
Pushchairs
We apologise but due to the interactive nature of the Grotto experience we are unable to accept pushchairs through Santa’s Grotto.
Guests with Disabilties
We endeavour to create an experience which can be enjoyed by all guests visiting Woodlands during the festive season.
The Santa’s Grotto will accommodate guests in Wheelchairs, however large electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters are not allowed into the attraction due to reasons of access.
There is no specific Guest with Disability Christmas Grotto Ticket option. Guests will need to purchase tickets based on the appropriate age category. If you have any questions regarding accessibility please call our reception on 01803712598 prior to booking your tickets.
Adults Entry
This attraction is aimed at families. As such, we are unable to accept bookings of adults only. A child ticket must be purchased at the same time as an adult ticket.

1 Festive non-alcoholic mulled wine drink provided for each adult, maximum 2 festive drinks per booking, (these can not be exchanged for any other item).
Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult of 17 years or over. On arrival, ID stating date of birth will be required if the adult appears to be under 17 years of age.
All adults & children that wish to go through the grotto need to have purchased a grotto ticket online prior to the day of their visit. Children aged 12 and above will need to purchase the relevant ticket to enter the grotto. This price will not include a gift from Santa.
Christmas Grotto Tickets bought online are non-refundable for any reason.
Christmas Grotto Tickets are date and time specific and are only valid on the date which is booked. The time slot you have chosen is the time you need to be at the entrance to the grotto to start your magical Christmas experience.
No discount ticket/voucher of any kind can be used alongside the Christmas Grotto Tickets.
